We are looking for an Ophthalmic Assistant Floater who is committed to providing our patients both fantastic vision care and an excellent customer service experience through friendliness, professionalism, technology and a commitment to growing in their field. This position is a great opportunity to get a foot in the door with a leading ophthalmology practice in the Greater Houston area. This position is designed to help provide tech coverage for vacations and unscheduled absences. It will require travel to most of the Greater Houston locations. Reimbursement for mileage (per IRS guidelines) is included . We strongly encourage interested candidates to review our office locations at www.berkeleyeye.com. Ideal Candidates have 2+ years of technician experience in an ophthalmic environment.
Skill Set should include:
Manual Refractions, Ability to read glasses on manual lensometer, Tonometry, Visual Fields, OCT, A-Scan, Topography, Computer Skills (experience on Electronic Medical Records a plus but will train an OA with proper patient work-up skills) We offer a competitive wage, comprehensive benefit package.
