Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Tech to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support ophthalmologists and optometrists in providing exceptional patient care, perform clinical procedures, and manage medical records within a fast-paced vision care clinic. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, along with experience in optical and medical office settings. The Ophthalmic Tech will be instrumental in ensuring efficient clinic operations while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations. Duties Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical history and verifying insurance information Prepare patients for eye examinations by performing preliminary tests and assessments Conduct basic ophthalmic procedures including vision testing, refraction, and intraocular pressure measurements Maintain aseptic technique during clinical procedures to prevent infection Operate EMR systems to document patient information accurately Manage medical records ensuring proper documentation and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards Collaborate with physicians and staff to optimize patient flow and clinic efficiency • Requirements Prior experience in ophthalmology office settings is preferred; clinic experience is a plus Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ophthalmic procedures • Ability to perform intake assessments, vital sign measurements, and basic eye tests accurately Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join our team as an Ophthalmic Tech to contribute to high-quality eye care delivery while advancing your career in the healthcare industry.
