Job Description

Certified Ophthalmic Assistant or Certified Ophthalmic Technician :
Searching for energetic COA or COT to join our eye care team! We are offering an opportunity for someone to have a career in a fast-paced medical office in the heart of the Hill Country. If you have the required experience but are not certified as a Ophthalmic Assistant, we will help you achieve this. Certification is required and must be completed by 12 months of the employee's hire date. Technicians are responsible for working up patients for the physicians, taking down patient's reason for visit or complaint, medical history and medications, administering testing on patients (IOL measurements, retinal imaging, fundus photos, visual field testing, manifest refractions and tonometry by applanation). Candidate must have knowledge of ophthalmology terminology and HIPAA. The right candidate should be able to provide excellent patient care and be a team player.
