Overview We are seeking a bilingual and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant/Optician to join our vibrant team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine clinical support with retail sales, ensuring patients receive comprehensive eye care and stylish eyewear solutions. The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized, and passionate about helping others see their best. Duties Assist the optometrist with patient examinations, including taking vital signs and recording medical history Prepare patients for eye exams by performing preliminary tests and explaining procedures Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Crystal PM or similar platforms Fit, adjust, and dispense eyewear, including glasses and contact lenses, ensuring proper fit and comfort Provide excellent customer service by educating patients on lens options, frame selections, and proper eyewear care Handle optical sales transactions confidently while maintaining retail math accuracy Maintain a clean, sterile environment following aseptic techniques and HIPAA compliance standards Requirements Prior experience in ophthalmology, optometry, or optical retail is highly preferred Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics and senior care populations Bilingual Detail-oriented, dependable, and team player Join us to make a real difference in people's lives by providing expert eye care combined with outstanding customer service.
