Now Hiring:
Optometric Assistant Local optometry office is looking for a friendly, dependable, and teachable Optometric Assistant to join our team. This is a weekday position with no weekend hours , making it a great fit for someone who wants a stable office schedule. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, is comfortable learning new skills, and takes pride in providing excellent patient care. Prior eye care experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.
Responsibilities include:
Answering phones and scheduling patient appointments Greeting and assisting patients Running preliminary testing, including autorefractor testing and iCare tonometry Assisting with diagnostic testing such as OCT and visual field testing Helping patients with frame and lens selections Assisting with contact lens sales and contact lens insertion/removal training Verifying insurances Opening and closing the office Other office duties that arise Helping keep the office organized, clean, and running smoothly We are looking for someone who is: Friendly and professional Punctual and dependable Honest and trustworthy Teachable and willing to learn Comfortable working with both children and adults Detail-oriented A team player with a positive attitude This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow in a healthcare setting and be part of a patient-focused optometry practice.
