In this role, you will assist optometrists in providing high-quality eye care services to our patients. You will be responsible for performing various clinical and administrative tasks that support the efficient operation of the optometry practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for helping others. Duties Assist optometrists during eye examinations by preparing patients and equipment. Perform preliminary tests such as visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception assessments. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate documentation. Educate patients on contact lens care and proper eyewear usage. Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing inventory, calling-in prescriptions, ordering contacts and patient communications. Ensure a clean and aseptic environment in accordance with safety protocols. Experience Must be detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is a quick learner. Strong communication skills involving customer interaction and phone etiquette is a must. Must have excellent typing and spelling abilities. Training in patient care is preferred. Willing to be cross- trained in other specialty areas of the office.
