Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Assistant / Scribe to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care within our ophthalmology practice. Duties Ability to access patient records and doctors orders. Maintain accurate patient records within the EHR system, while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations. Scribes while physician examines patient by entering data into the electronic medical records Conduct visual acuity tests as directed. Conduct diagnostic tests such as automated visual field testing, fundus photography, optical coherence tomography, and other diagnostics tests as directed. Assist with patient education. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the examination area. Requirements Previous experience in an ophthalmology setting is preferred but not necessary. Knowledge of physiology related to eye health is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. A commitment to providing excellent patient care with a compassionate approach. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving practices in ophthalmology.
