position requiring availability between the hours of 8:30AM-4:00PM, Monday through Friday (schedule may fluctuate weekly based on providers schedule) but an average of 30-35 hours expected weekly. Located in Newport News, VA (23606).

As an Ophthalmology Technician you will provide clinical and administrative support to ophthalmologists and optometrists by assisting with patient examinations, performing diagnostic testing, documenting medical information, and ensuring efficient patient flow within the practice. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and compassionate patient care. Requirements for the

Ophthalmology Technician:

Required:

1+ year of experience working as an

Ophthalmology Technician Required:

High School diploma or GED required

Required:

Knowledge of ophthalmic terminology and diagnostic equipment

Required:

Strong communication skills

Required:

Ability to pass

Background Check and Drug Screen Required:

Must be reliable and a quick learner and have ability to multi-task with accuracy in a very busy environment

Required:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and basic computer and EMR proficiency Preferred Qualifications for the

Ophthalmology Technician:

Preferred:

Completion of an ophthalmic technician or medical assistant program preferred

Preferred:

Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)

Preferred:

Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT)

Benefits:

$17-$18 an hour (depending on experience level) Weekly Pay
