In this vital role, you will assist with patient care, perform preliminary eye assessments, and support the optometrists in delivering exceptional vision and health services. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment for patients while ensuring smooth clinic operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in optometry, medical records management, and patient interaction within a fast-paced healthcare setting. Duties Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage patient intake processes, including verifying insurance and entering patient information into REV. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient information. Perform front desk operations by scheduling appointments, managing clinic flow, and handling administrative tasks related to medical billing and coding. Qualifications Prior experience in medical office settings or optometry office is highly preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems such as REV or similar platforms; experience with insurance billing is a plus. Excellent patient care skills with a friendly, professional demeanor that fosters trust and comfort. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times. Retail sales experience or familiarity with optical products is advantageous; strong math skills for retail transactions are beneficial. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
