Job Description

Vision Tech Optometry Center is seeking a friendly, motivated, and detail-oriented Ophthalmic/Optometric Technician to join our team.
Pay:
Up to $24/hour, based on experience
Schedule:
Full-Time (32-40 hours per week. Every other Friday off!) We are looking for someone who enjoys working with patients, learns quickly, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable with technology, possesses excellent communication skills, and is committed to providing an exceptional patient experience. Responsibilities Welcome patients and escort them to exam and testing rooms Review patient history, medications, allergies, and reason for visit Prepare examination rooms and instruments for patient care Accurately document exam findings and patient interactions in electronic medical records Assist doctors by communicating patient questions and concerns Explain testing procedures and treatment recommendations to patients Perform preliminary testing and operate diagnostic instruments Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment Qualifications Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinical setting Comfortable learning new technology and software systems Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Ability to sit and stand for extended periods Comfortable around our friendly office dog Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in optometry, ophthalmology, or healthcare AOA Technician Certification preferred Training & Certification Candidates without certification are welcome to apply. We will provide support and guidance toward obtaining AOA Technician Certification as part of your professional development.
