Clinical Optometry Assistant

• A team player. The duties of our optometric technicians include:
• Assisting doctor in providing routine and medical eye care.
• Utilizing EHR system to accurately record medical history, test results, and chief complaint.
• Administering pre-tests and specialty tests.
• Providing training on contact lens insertion and removal.
• Ordering and dispensing contact lenses.
• Communicating with patients and other doctor's offices on behalf of the doctor.

At least one year of optometric technician or medical assistant experience is required. Previous experience with EHR/EMR, specialty testing equipment, and direct patient care are also helpful. Training will be provided to bridge any gaps in knowledge.

Job Type:

Full-time Starting salary: $16 - $19 per hour depending on experience
