Job Description

As we grow, we're looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Optometric Assistant to join our team and help ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience. You must have a strong attention to detail and be able to maintain HIPAA guidelines and want to improve our patients' lives through sight. This is a Long-term position.
Job Description:
The Optometric Assistant will support the optometrist in delivering high-quality eye care services. This includes greeting patients, taking patient histories, performing pre-exam testing, assisting the doctor with the exam including charting in EHR.
Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Perform pre-testing procedures (e.g., visual acuity, tonometry, auto-refraction)
  • Record and update patient medical histories accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment
  • Support general administrative and office tasks as needed
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in an optometry or healthcare setting preferred but will train the right candidate
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with computer tasks and electronic health records
  • Professional, reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
