Job Description

Champlain Eye And Vision is a small, privately-owned optometry practice. We are currently searching for an addition to our family-oriented and close-knit practice. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get into the medical field with a great work environment and options for further training in office and at outside conferences.

Optometric Technician Job Type:
Full-Time No prior experience needed we are willing to train the right person! We are looking for someone interested in working directly with patient care and assisting the doctor. We cross train all of our employees to be able to assist with answering phones, checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments and making referrals for patients. The optometric technician role is to pretest the patient before the doctor sees them which can include; imaging, dilation and any other necessary tests.
Primary Duties:
Auto-refraction/ keratometry
OCT, VEP, ERG, FUNDUS PHOTOGRAPHY
Corneal topography Screening visual fields Digital Retinal Imaging Color vision testing Stereopsis evaluation Visual acuity testing Assistance in the examination process with ophthalmic drop installation Pre-appointing the next visit or visits Coordinating patient care with other doctors Becoming the patient's advocate Assume the role of contact lens technician
Pay:
From $18.50 per hour
