Job Description

What You'll Be Doing:
- Greeting and rooming patients with warmth and efficiency
- Performing comprehensive ophthalmic testing, including: Refractions Visual acuity Tonometry Lensometry Pupillary assessments
- Assisting with in-office procedures and surgical preparation
- Educating patients on pre
- and post-operative care instructions
- Maintaining accurate and detailed EMR documentation
- Assisting with scheduling, registration, and general clinic flow support

- Ability to learn quickly and navigate EHR systems
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician strongly preferred
- Must be proficient in refraction testing
- Background in medical office or outpatient clinical setting
- COA/COT certification is a plus
- Strong typing skills and comfort with modern EHR software
- Open to candidates with equivalent education and relevant clinical experience
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting pay begins at $27.00 per hour for candidates who are newer to the field. However, higher starting rates are available for applicants with additional education, relevant experience, and specialized skills .
