Gig Harbor, WA | Full-Time (36-40 hours/week) | Starting pay begins at $27.00 per hour for candidates who are newer to the field. However, higher starting rates are available for applicants with additional education, relevant experience, and specialized skills . What You'll Be Doing:
  • Greeting and rooming patients with warmth and efficiency
  • Performing comprehensive ophthalmic testing, including: Refractions Visual acuity Tonometry Lensometry Pupillary assessments
  • Assisting with in-office procedures and surgical preparation
  • Educating patients on pre
  • and post-operative care instructions
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed EMR documentation
  • Assisting with scheduling, registration, and general clinic flow support

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician strongly preferred
  • Must be proficient in refraction testing
  • Background in medical office or outpatient clinical setting
  • COA/COT certification is a plus
  • Strong typing skills and comfort with modern EHR software
  • Open to candidates with equivalent education and relevant clinical experience
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Starting pay begins at $27.00 per hour for candidates who are newer to the field. However, higher starting rates are available for applicants with additional education, relevant experience, and specialized skills .
