Job Description

Job Overview North Coast Eye Care is seeking a motivated and friendly Full-Time Optometry Technician to join our team in a growing, boutique eye care practice. No prior experience is required - we will provide on-the-job training! This role is perfect for someone who wants to start in eye care and is ideal for individuals eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced medical environment, and grow within the eye care industry. You will assist with patient intake, perform pre-testing, scribing, support clinical procedures, and help ensure a smooth flow of daily operations—all while working alongside experienced professionals dedicated to improving vision health. This paid position offers a unique pathway for those interested in advancing their career in eye care and optical services. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with patient intake processes to ensure accurate and complete medical records. Assist optometrists with taking patient history, pre-testing and clinical procedures. Maintain a clean and organized exam room and equipment. Provide excellent patient care and customer service at every touchpoint. Manage electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as CrystalPM or similar platforms to document patient visits accurately. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times. Perform administrative duties at the front desk, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and managing medical records. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented and organized. Willingness to learn and grow within the practice. Prior experience in medical office settings or clinic environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration. Willingness to learn about eye care procedures.
