Optometric Technician

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Optometric Technician, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our eye care professionals. Your expertise will contribute to a seamless patient experience while fostering a welcoming atmosphere. What you'll do Conduct patient intake procedures, including gathering medical history and vital signs Assist in performing eye examinations and diagnostic tests using specialized equipment Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on proper contact lens care and eyewear options Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including Epic, for documentation and scheduling Collaborate with optometrists to provide comprehensive patient care Support front desk operations, including appointment scheduling and retail sales assistance Basic qualifications Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology Experience in a medical office or clinic setting, preferably in optometry or ophthalmology Preferred qualifications Familiarity with optical products and retail math principles Background in pediatrics or experience working with children is a plus Proficiency in medical coding and billing practices Why you'll love it here We are dedicated to creating an environment where our employees can thrive both professionally and personally.
