Optician (full time)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Optician with a minimum of two years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this full-time position, you will play a key role in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients, ensuring they find the perfect eyewear solutions for their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct fittings for eyeglasses and contact lenses. Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, providing expert advice on styles and materials. Measure and adjust eyewear for proper fit and comfort. Verify prescriptions and ensure accuracy in eyewear preparation. Maintain an organized and clean dispensing area. Collaborate with optometrists and other staff to ensure seamless patient care. Stay updated on industry trends and new products. Perform preliminary eye exams, including autorefraction, corneal topography, fundus photography, and other diagnostic procedures. Assist in the preparation of patients for examinations. Accurately document patient histories and exam results in the electronic health record system.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Optician. Strong knowledge of optical principles and practices. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. ABO Certification preferred but not required.
