Optician Optical Sales Associate

Privately owned and managed Pearle Vision locations in Orange County are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Opticians / Optical Stylists to join our growing team. We are busy, well-established practices looking for individuals who are excited about optical sales, patient care, and growing within a successful eye care family. We are a fast-growing group of Pearle Vision EyeCare Centers in Orange County focused on patient experience, strong team culture, and professional growth. This position requires prior opticianry or optical sales experience. Please do not apply if you do not have optical experience or if you are not genuinely excited about working in an optical sales environment. Optician duties include but are not limited to: Ensure high quality customer service Fulfill / Dispense Prescription Eyeglasses and assist customers with frame and lens selection Style patients in frames and premium lens solutions based on prescription, lifestyle, and visual needs, troubleshoot and neutralize eyewear prescriptions. Answer phone calls, scheduling and confirming appointments, appointment recalls Perform preliminary testing for the Optometrist Fulfill contact lens trial room and perform proper contact lens training Ensure that store consistently and efficiently meets expectations for sales, merchandising, patient care and store operations Support the store manager in driving business performance and coordinating effectively between Retail, Lab, and Doctor operations. Shows great pride in store appearance & executes visual directives Demonstrate ability to multitask; ability to respond flexibly in a quickly changing environment

Requirements:

Previous optical retail experience and Vision Insurance knowledge is required

• VSP, Eyemed, Spectera ABO certification is NOT required but preferred.

Strong Sales Skills, Phone skills, Consulting skills, and Proven ability to Solve Problems. High School graduate or equivalent. Must work on Fridays and Saturdays. Awareness of current fashion trends. Must be highly motivated to provide exceptional customer service. Basic math and computer knowledge. Candidates located within a reasonable commute to Orange County locations are preferred. Our locations are high-volume and fast paced. Candidates must be comfortable working in a sales-driven optical environment.

• Part Time (Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday) Only candidates with optical or eyewear sales experience will be considered.

Pay Structure:

Hourly pay ranges from $18

• 28 based on optical experience and sales performance, plus commission and bonus opportunities.
