Job Description
We're looking for a friendly, self-starter Optician who is passionate about helping patients look and see their best. If you enjoy working with people, have a strong sense of style, and take pride in delivering exceptional customer service, we'd love to meet you. Our practice is committed to providing a premium patient experience through personalized eyewear recommendations, advanced lens technology, and outstanding customer care. Responsibilities Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and budget. Accurately measure pupillary distance (PD), segment height, and other fitting measurements. Adjust, repair, and troubleshoot eyeglasses for optimal comfort and vision. Educate patients on lens options including progressive lenses, anti-reflective coatings, blue light protection, transition lenses, and specialty products. Verify eyewear prescriptions and ensure order accuracy. Place and track laboratory orders. Perform final quality inspections before dispensing eyewear. Maintain an organized, attractive optical showroom. Handle insurance benefits and explain patient financial responsibilities (preferred). Provide exceptional customer service from check-in through eyewear delivery. Assist with inventory management and merchandising. Qualifications Required 1+ years of experience as an Optician (preferred) Strong customer service and communication skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and positive attitude Comfortable using computers and practice management software Preferred Experience with VSP, EyeMed, Davis Vision, or other vision insurance plans Experience with electronic health records (EHR) Retail sales experience in optical or luxury retail Schedule Monday-Friday No weekends Apply Today!
