Opthalmic Technician/Front Desk

We are seeking the right candidate who is looking for a long-term employment opportunity at our busy optometry office in Laguna Hills. We are looking for an energetic, friendly front office Optometric Technician.

Technician Position:

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, outgoing, motivated, able to multi-task and eager to learn and grow with us and possibly make it a career. Duties include, but not limited to:•Front desk reception: greeting patients with a smile, answering the multi line phone calls, scheduling appointments, patient data entry, reviewing costs/payments with patients and checking patients in and out.

Insurance:

pulling authorizations, pricing, billing and invoicing•General product and service sales: assist in contact lens training/frame/lens selection•Coordinating office flow and miscellaneous duties

Qualifications:

•Proficient in computer and organizational skills. Experience in optometry is a plus, but we're willing to train the right candidate.•Friendly, responsible, fast learning, and have a neat, professional appearance. Compensation is based on experience, productivity and how fast you will learn and become an asset to the company. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Candidate has to be ready to learn basics of eyeglass adjustments and repairs, verifying eyeglass and contact lens prescription orders. The ideal candidate must enjoy working with others (patients and other employees), have excellent/polite verbal/communication skills, and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Medical or Optometry office experience is preferred
