Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Optician/Sales Associate, where you will play a vital role in enhancing patient care and delivering exceptional customer service. In this position, you will assist patients in selecting the perfect eyewear, perform essential optical measurements, and support clinical staff with laboratory tasks. This optical sales opportunity offers commission and bonuses in addition to an hourly pay. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure each patient receives personalized attention and a excellent pair of glasses. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist them in choosing eyewear that fits their style and prescription needs Conduct optical specific measurements, including pupillary distance, seg height, OC and lensometry readings Support the clinical team with laboratory tasks such as lens edging, mounting, and quality checks Educate patients on proper eyewear care, lens options, frame selections and warranty packages Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Maintain the visual presentation of our boutique, ensuring displays highlight our unique frame collections Manage retail sales transactions efficiently while promoting available optical products and accessories Requirements Prior experience 2+ years in optical or ophthalmology settings is highly preferred, including laboratory experience and optical technical skills Excellent customer service skills with a proactive sales approach in retail environments Commitment to ongoing professional development Knowledge of premium lens options and independent eyewear brands The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, demonstrates genuine care for clients beyond their eyewear needs, and approaches each interaction with empathy and attentiveness. You should be naturally curious about people's stories and lifestyles, using these insights to guide personalized recommendations.
