Job Description
- Overview
- We are seeking a skilled Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for eye care and providing exceptional service to our patients.
- Duties
- Assist patients in selecting eyewear that meets their prescription and style preferences
- Take accurate measurements for eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage
- Maintain accurate patient records related to eyewear prescriptions and orders
- Work closely with ophthalmologists and optometrists to ensure accurate prescriptions
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns
- Experience
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of ophthalmology and optical terminology
- Familiarity with medical records management, including HIPAA regulations
- Proficiency in sales techniques related to optical products
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Experience working with pediatric patients
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures in an optical setting
- Background in retail sales, particularly in the optical industry
