Job Description
We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated individual to join our optical team! Previous experience in an optical office is preferred, but not required. We are happy to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, excellent people skills, and a willingness to learn. Our office believes that personality, attitude, and reliability are just as important as experience. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and wants to grow in a long-term career. Reponsibilities Assist patients with selecting eyeglass frames and lenses Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming environment Help patients understand lens options and recommendations Take measurements and assist with fittings and adjustments Answer phones and schedule appointments as needed Maintain organization and cleanliness throughout the optical Learn about terminology, products, and insurance processes Work closely with doctors and staff to provide excellent patient care Ideal Personality Traits Friendly and personable Patient and compassionate Detail-oriented Reliable and punctual A strong communicator Organized and able to multitask Eager to learn new skills Team-oriented Qualifications Optical experience preferred, but not required Customer service or retail experience is a plus Ability to work well with people of all ages Positive attitude and willingness to learn Basic computer skills
