We are a small, collaborative team looking for a reliable and professional Optician to help us deliver an exceptional patient experience. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and personable Optician to manage our optical dispensary. The ideal candidate is someone who balances technical expertise with a keen eye for style, helping patients select frames and lenses that best suit their lifestyle and prescriptions. Key Responsibilities Assist patients with frame selection, ensuring proper fit, aesthetics, and functionality. Educate patients on lens options (progressives, coatings, materials) and take precise measurements. Process and track optical orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Perform frame repairs, adjustments, and troubleshoot patient vision concerns. Verify prescriptions using a lensometer. Manage frame inventory and maintain a clean, organized, and inviting dispensary. Verify insurance benefits (VSP, HMSA, etc.) and explain out-of-pocket costs to patients.

Qualifications Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an Optician (preferred but not required).

Skills:

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a flair for sales/styling.

Technical Knowledge:

Proficiency with lensometry and manual adjustments.

Professionalism:

A friendly, patient-centric attitude that thrives in a small office environment.

Local Knowledge:
