Optometric Receptionist, Full-time

Our busy Optometric private practice in Urbandale is growing and we are hiring a new team member. We are a locally-owned office that provides routine and medical eye care for both pediatric and adult patients. We are looking for a responsible, pleasant person who enjoys working with people. The ideal candidate will be reliable and have excellent organizational skills, a positive caring attitude, and a willingness to learn new skills. Experience would be helpful, but we will train the right person. Responsibilities will have a lot of variety including: Front desk tasks such as greeting and directing patients, check in and check out procedures, answering phones, scheduling, organizing medical documents, navigating insurance benefits and making referral appointments with other offices assisting the doctors with special testing, no prior experience required representing the office at networking events assisting with social media and other marketing Only those interested in long term employment need apply. Hours can be discussed, but this team member will need to be available until 6pm some nights. We have a competitive pay scale, health care allowance, paid time off and an employee retirement plan.
