You will play a vital role in enhancing patients' vision and overall eye health. This energetic position combines technical expertise with exceptional customer service, allowing you to assist patients in selecting the perfect eyewear while ensuring accurate measurements and adherence to medical standards. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment that promotes clear vision and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities Assist patients in choosing eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other optical products by providing expert guidance based on their needs and preferences Take precise measurements of patients' eyes, including pupillary distance, frame fitting, and vital signs as needed for accurate prescriptions Use optical equipment and laboratory experience to verify lens prescriptions and ensure proper fit and function of eyewear Maintain detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records), Crystal Practice Management, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality Educate patients on proper lens care, and the importance of regular check-ups. Manage retail sales transactions efficiently while applying retail math skills to meet sales goals and maintain inventory accuracy Frame board management and meeting with frame reps. Qualifications Preferably to have experience in optical settings or clinic experience with a strong understanding of optical experience requirements Familiarity with EMR systems and proficiency in managing medical records securely under HIPAA guidelines Ability to perform vital signs assessments and understand laboratory processes related to eyewear fabrication Strong sales skills combined with retail management experience to provide excellent customer service while meeting sales targets Basic understanding of medical billing procedures relevant to optometry practices Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly and compassionately across diverse patient groups including pediatrics and seniorsJoin us in delivering exceptional eye care!
