Experienced Optician Needed at Multiple Union Eye Care Centers

Union Eyes LLC is the eye care division of eight Union Wellness Centers proudly serving the hardworking union men and women of Illinois and Indiana. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated team member for an exciting opportunity to be part of a historic endeavor providing exclusive eye care services to union members and their families. • Flexible work environment This is a travel-based position; the primary location will be determined after training.

The schedule will consist of 4 days per week and 2 Saturdays per month. We Will Train Our opticians are responsible for the selection, fitting, dispensing, and adjustment of eyewear while delivering a 5-star patient experience. Team members will also assist with scheduling, answering phones, and supporting office operations.

We are seeking candidates with:

• Experience in the medical field
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills
• Fluency in Spanish or Bilingual in other languages is a plus
• Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to travel

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in the medical field
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Availability to work full-time or part-time, including one to two Saturdays per month
• RevolutionEHR experience is a plus
• Willingness to assist in all areas that support office efficiency and practice growth Job Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality, 5-star customer care to union members and their families across multiple locations
• Fit, adjust, and dispense glasses and safety eyewear
• Perform digital custom measurements using Optikam technology
• Assist the optometrist with patient care
• Perform pretesting using specialized diagnostic equipment including: o WAM o Optos o Olleyes
• Verify prescriptions using manual and/or automated lensometers
• Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care
• Educate patients on eyewear usage and maintenance
• Maintain knowledge of inventory and products to recommend the best eyewear solutions
• Edge lenses using in-house optical equipment (training provided)
• Manage office communications through phone, email, fax, Weave, and Google Sheets
• Schedule patients and support front office operations
• Travel and provide coverage at all office locations as needed
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations

Pay:

$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
