Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Optician, where your expertise will empower patients to see clearly and live confidently! In this vital role, you will assist in selecting, fitting, and dispensing eyewear, ensuring each patient receives personalized care and exceptional service. Duties Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on prescription, lifestyle needs, and personal style preferences Take precise measurements of pupillary distance, frame size, and lens specifications to ensure optimal fit and vision correction Operate electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic to document patient interactions and update medical records efficiently Educate patients on lens options, frame styles, and proper eyewear maintenance while promoting retail sales of glasses and accessories Complete order of glasses and contact lenses Requirements Proven experience in optical retail or clinical settings with strong knowledge of ophthalmology principles and anatomy Familiarity with EMR systems and medical coding practices for documentation Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical terminology clearly to patients Retail management skills including retail math for sales transactions and inventory management This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to combine technical expertise with compassionate patient care.
