Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Optician/Sales Associate, where you'll combine your passion for eye health and exceptional customer service in a pediatric setting. Here at WeeEyes Pediatric Eyecare, our top priority is to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for our little patients. In this role, you will assist pediatric patients and their parents with selecting eyewear, perform some minor adjustments on frames and manage the front desk duties such as insurance verification and entering pt information into our EHR (we use Revolution). Your enthusiasm and expertise will help improve patients' vision and overall well-being while driving sales and fostering long-term relationships. Duties Assist customers in selecting eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other optical products based on their needs, preferences, and prescriptions Support the clinical team by preparing exam rooms, sterilizing equipment using aseptic techniques, and managing medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems , we use Revolution EHR Educate patients about eyewear options, lens technology, and proper care while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Process insurance claims, medical billing, and coding accurately using medical terminology and coding standards Maintain laboratory experience by assisting with frame adjustments, repairs, and optical measurements to ensure precise fit and comfort Promote retail sales by providing excellent customer service, understanding retail math principles for inventory management, and upselling appropriate products Experience Previous experience in optical retail sales or a healthcare setting involving optometry or pediatrics is desirable, but not mandatory. If you are motivated and a quick learner, no experience necessary Familiarity with EMR systems such as REV is a plus Experience working with pediatric populations or in a clinic environment is a plus Join us to make a difference through compassionate care and expert service!
