If so, we'd love to meet you! Hunter Family Vision is a growing, privately owned optometry practice with three locations in Leawood, Prairie Village, and Louisburg, Kansas. We are looking for a full-time Optician who is committed to providing exceptional patient care while creating an outstanding eyewear experience. As our practice continues to grow, we're looking for someone who wants more than just a job—we're looking for someone who wants a long-term career with a team that genuinely enjoys coming to work each day. What We're Looking For We're searching for someone who is: Friendly, positive, and welcoming A team player who enjoys helping others Detail-oriented and organized Reliable with a strong work ethic Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service Comfortable communicating with patients and educating them about their eyewear options Previous optical experience is preferred, but if you have exceptional customer service skills and a willingness to learn, we'd still love to hear from you. What You'll Do Every day is different, but your responsibilities will include: Helping patients choose eyewear that fits their lifestyle, visual needs, and the doctor's recommendations Providing a personalized, high-end patient experience from start to finish Explaining lens options, coatings, and frame selections Taking precise optical measurements to ensure the best possible fit and vision Ordering prescription lenses and tracking jobs through the lab Inspecting and dispensing completed eyewear Applying vision insurance benefits and preparing patient invoices Checking patients out and processing payments Working alongside doctors and teammates to provide an exceptional patient experience Why You'll Love Working Here 4½-day work week with Friday afternoons off Paid training Competitive pay based on experience (negotiable for the right candidate) Every-other-week pay schedule Supportive leadership and an amazing team culture Opportunities to learn and grow as our practice continues to expand A workplace where your ideas, personality, and contributions are valued Our office hours are designed to support work-life balance. We have one evening each week at each office when we're open until 6:00 PM. Most days begin around 8:00 AM and end around 5:00 PM.
