Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Optician/Eyewear Consultant for our optical team in Howard County. Optician:

Frame/Lens Selection:

Helping patients choose frames and lenses that fit their style and prescription needs.

Fitting and Measuring :

Taking facial measurements to ensure glasses fit properly.

Adjustments/Repairs:

Fixing and adjusting frames if they do not fit correctly.

Dispensing:

Ensuring proper fit and vison, and any troubleshooting if needed. Preparing and ordering eyewear.

• Coordinate daily operations of the optical department.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing their eyewear needs and concerns.
• Conduct comprehensive eyewear fittings and adjustments.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain inventory of eyewear products and ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in optical technology.
• Manage patient records, including prescriptions and billing processes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in opticianry
• Sales experience
• Knowledge of Vision insurances is a plus
• Proficient in optical dispensing, lens technology, and frame selection.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Customer-focused with a commitment to quality service.
