This role requires a blend of technical knowledge and interpersonal skills to ensure that each patient receives the best possible care and guidance in selecting their eyewear. Duties Assist patients in selecting eyeglasses and contact lenses that best suit their needs and preferences. Perform measurements for eyewear fittings, including pupillary distance and segment height. Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance. Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with privacy regulations. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory, pricing, and sales transactions effectively. Stay updated on the latest optical trends, technologies, and products to provide informed recommendations. Demonstrate aseptic techniques when handling equipment and materials. Experience Candidates should have a background in optical services or a related field. Experience with the following is preferred: Aseptic technique for maintaining cleanliness in the workplace. Retail math for effective inventory management and sales tracking. Familiarity with medical records management systems. Knowledge of ophthalmology, anatomy, and vital signs to enhance patient interactions. Experience working with diverse populations, including pediatrics and senior care. A strong understanding of optical products and services is essential for success in this role.
