They work with high-end clientele to choose frames and lens treatments while driving sales, ensuring accurate, high-quality eyeglasses are delivered to customers. Role Summary:
As an optician, you will combine fashion-forward styling with clinical technical skill, acting as an eyewear consultant to help clients select the best frames and lenses for their lifestyle and prescription needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Styling & Sales:
Advise clients on lens materials, frame styles, and coatings that align with their personal style and prescription requirements.
Optical Measurements:
Utilize technical skills to take accurate measurements (pupillary distance, etc.) for customized lens fitting.
Adjustments & Repairs:
Perform precise adjustments to frames for comfort and optimal vision correction.
Order Management:
Process prescriptions, calculate insurance co-pays, and submit orders for fabrication.
Inventory Care:
Maintain and showcase premium optical displays within the retail environment.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in retail sales or optical services (preferred). Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Excellent fashion sense and attention to detail.
Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-end retail environment, often including weekends (Franklin Park Mall). Passion for customer satisfaction and optical quality.
