Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting patients in selecting and fitting eyewear, ensuring optimal vision care, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a blend of technical skills and interpersonal abilities to effectively meet the needs of our diverse clientele. Duties Assist patients in choosing appropriate eyewear based on their prescription and lifestyle needs. Perform fittings and adjustments on eyeglasses to ensure proper comfort and alignment. Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with privacy regulations. Process orders for eyewear. Provide education to patients regarding eyewear care, lens options, and visual health. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Stay updated on the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred, particularly in a healthcare or optical setting. Knowledge of medical billing processes is an asset. Familiarity with anatomy knowledge related to the eye and physiology knowledge is beneficial. Experience in a clinical environment is a plus. Ability to manage medical records accurately while ensuring confidentiality.
