Job Description

Full-Time Optician Join our patient-focused eye care team and make a difference in the lives of our patients every day. We are seeking a motivated, friendly, and detail-oriented Full-Time Optician to assist patients with frame selection, lens recommendations, eyewear fittings, adjustments, and repairs. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for helping people look and see their best. Experience in optical sales, insurance processing, and electronic medical records is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual. Wage is dependent on experience and commissions are available above base pay. Responsibilities Establish a relationship with patients and understand their needs and visual tasks. Assist patients in selecting appropriate lenses for eyewear. Explain the benefits of lenses, coatings, and frames to each patient. Assist patients in picking out frames. Order and verify prescription lenses for patients. Check orders that are older than 5 days and determine delay. Purchase frames from sales reps Repair and adjust frames on patients. Skills Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with patients and healthcare providers Ability to handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations Retail management experience or retail sales skills are a plus for optical product sales roles Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and documentation Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient care while developing expertise across multiple clinical support functions.
