Medical Team Member - Optician

Optician/Optical Sales Associate Eye Physicians, P.C., Columbus, NE Position available for a full time Optician to join our expanding team. We are a well established, fast paced, high volume ophthalmology and optometry practice with two surgeons, and six Optometrists and offer a rewarding, enjoyable, and stimulating work environment. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive profitable optical sales by fostering a retail selling culture by using effective retail sales skills. Fill ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions, and fit and adapt lenses and frames, to include but not limited to the following: Utilize optical prescription in conjunction with the patient's visual requirements. Recommend specific lenses, and lens coatings to suit patient needs. Assist patients in the selection of frames, and coordinate frames to prescription and patient need. Perform appropriate optical related measurements. Ensure a quality patient experience through correct pricing, POS entry, and realistic delivery time quotes. Provide appropriate guidance to patients regarding Managed Vision Care. Assist with ensuring optical is effectively merchandised and presented to company standards.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Ability to sell through the use of sales skills and accountability for sales results. Experience and proven results with a retail or customer service establishment. Ability to provide enthusiastic and concise communication to meet/exceed patient expectations. Attention to detail and follow-up. Ability to manage priorities through adaptability and flexibility. Experience with personal computers preferred. We have five offices in Northeast Nebraska, the position open is in Columbus.
