Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Optometric Receptionist/ Sales Associate to join our vibrant eye care team! In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our practice, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations. Your energetic approach and organizational skills will ensure smooth daily workflows, from scheduling appointments to assisting patients with eyewear selections. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your office management and sales expertise in a professional and supportive environment. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally as they arrive, creating a positive first impression. Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries promptly, and direct calls efficiently using proper phone etiquette. Schedule and confirm appointments accurately using calendar management tools, ensuring optimal patient flow. Assist patients with selecting eyewear, demonstrating product knowledge and upselling when appropriate. Handle data entry tasks such as updating patient records, processing insurance information, and maintaining accurate filing systems. Support office management by organizing documents, proofreading correspondence, and managing inventory of optical supplies. Provide excellent customer support by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring patient satisfaction throughout their visit. Qualifications Previous office experience in medical or dental reception is highly preferred; clerical experience is a plus. Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and data entry systems. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Knowledge of front desk procedures, phone etiquette, and office management practices is essential. Experience with medical or dental receptionist duties such as calendar management, proofing documents, and filing is advantageous. Personal assistant or administrative experience that demonstrates strong time management and customer service skills will be valued.
