Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Optician, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional eye care services and enhancing patient satisfaction. In this energetic position, you will assist patients in selecting eyewear, perform comprehensive eye assessments, and support optometrists with clinical tasks. Your expertise will help ensure smooth clinical operations while providing compassionate, professional service to a diverse patient population. Shifts may vary, Monday-Saturday. With Saturdays open until 2 pm. Pay based on Experience. Responsibilities Assist patients in choosing appropriate eyewear by understanding their needs, preferences, and prescriptions. Take precise measurements of pupils, frames, and lenses to ensure optimal fit and vision correction. Provide accurate order entry and insurance copay determination. Dispense glasses and provide necessary repairs Educate patients on proper eyewear care, contact lens usage, and overall eye health. Collaborate with healthcare providers to update medical coding, billing information, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform clerical duties including answering phones, scheduling appointments, insurance verification, and exam pre-testing. Qualifications Fluency in Spanish is highly desired. Prior experience in optical settings. Willing to train appropriate candidate with strong interpersonal and sales skills. Knowledge of optometric concepts, anatomy of the eye, physiology, and medical terminology. Familiarity with medical records management, medical billing, and coding practices. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality. Excellent communication skills with a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Pay:

$19.00 - $24.00 per hour
