The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in ophthalmology and retail sales, with a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in helping patients select the right eyewear and ensuring their optical needs are met. Your expertise in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology will be essential in delivering high-quality care to our clients. Duties Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their needs and preferences. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize EMR systems such as EMA for patient documentation and management. Provide education to patients regarding proper eyewear care and usage. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Perform laboratory tasks including lens fitting, adjustments, and repairs. Stay updated on the latest optical technologies and trends in retail sales. Manage inventory levels of eyewear products and supplies. Ensure a clean and organized work environment adhering to aseptic techniques. Qualifications Proven experience in optical settings or related fields such as ophthalmology or clinic experience. Familiarity with medical coding, billing processes, and retail math is preferred. Experience with EMR systems, particularly EMA, is a plus. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently. Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
