The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of eye care principles and be committed to providing exceptional service to our patients. As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in helping patients select the right eyewear and ensuring their overall satisfaction with their vision care experience. Duties Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their needs, preferences, and prescriptions. Provide detailed information about lens options, coatings, and frame styles. Conduct fittings and adjustments to ensure proper alignment and comfort of eyewear. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation related to patient interactions. Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with patients and healthcare providers. Collaborate with optometrists to ensure comprehensive patient care. Stay informed about the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology. Uphold aseptic techniques in all patient interactions to maintain a clean and safe environment. Experience Candidates should have a solid foundation in the following areas: Knowledge of physiology and anatomy as it relates to eye care. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to optometry. Experience with sales techniques, particularly in a retail or healthcare setting. Proficiency in managing medical records and understanding medical coding practices. Previous experience in a clinical setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
