We are looking for an energetic, motivated Optician to join our team. All applicants must have excellent communication and customer service skills, be attentive and precise.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Optician experience of 1-3 years. ABO certified (preferred).
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrates appropriate team player attitude and enthusiasm. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Empathetic personality with concern for patients' needs. Strong organization with attention to detail. Analytical problem solving skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists patients with proper frame and lens selection. Effectively update inventory system. Educates patients on various options for both clear lenses, sunglasses, and any other needs the patient may have. Ensures proper fit and measurements for all lens types including single vision, bifocal, progressive and others. Educates patients on the benefits of having multiple pairs of glasses to fill all their eye care needs. Verifies patient insurance and explains their benefits. Dispenses glasses and makes sure patients know about adaptation to new prescriptions, lens types, etc. Helps patients with repairs and adjustments. Uphold exceptional service standards when working with customers and implement retail experience programs that increase their loyalty and engagement. Passionate about the eyewear and retail industries. A clear and effective communicator—you can break down technical terms for customers to easily understand. Dedicated to going above-and-beyond to make customers and teammates happy! Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
