Job Description
Busy, multi-location ophthalmology practice seeks an Optician (1+yrs exp a MUST) to join our team. We are looking for extremely motivated & reliable professional candidates to perform duties such as assisting patients picking out frames and lenses, calling patients to pick up eyewear, dispensing completed eyewear, and answering phone inquiries. Provide prompt, courteous, and professional services. Candidates must be dependable, enjoy working with the public, and possess excellent communication and customer service skills. We have offices located in East Stroudsburg, Tobyhanna & Brodheadsville. Travel between offices is required. If you are committed to compassionate patient care and work well as a team with other dedicated employees, you may qualify as a good candidate. Qualifications & Requirements
- 1 year or more working experience as an optician is a must
- Strong computer skills are a must
- Exceptional multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work independently as well as accept direction on given assignments.
- Fit, adjust, and repair eyeglasses
- Knowledgeable with eye vision plans/insurances
- Submit eyeglass orders to optical laboratory
- Measure segment heights
- Read, decipher, and/or transpose doctor's written prescriptions Salary will commensurate with experience
