Experience:
One (1) year in optical industry experience is preferred but employer will train
Education:
HSD/GED per employer policy Some college or vocational education preferred to comprehend insurance terminology.
Language:
Bilingual in English & Spanish to tend to clients.
Driver's License:
Not required
Requirements :
  • Must pass background check
  • Must pass a drug screen
  • Moderate computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must be looking for full-time and long-term employment
  • Must have and maintain good presentation
  • Must have some knowledge of insurance coverage to be able to verify benefits
Duties:
  • Will be working at the front desk greeting customers who enter the establishment.
  • Will be in charge of data entry; utilizing computer software for patient and prescription information
  • Assist customers with questions and make suggestions with frame selection.
  • Assist optician with lab work
  • Call insurance companies or log on to their website to verify coverage for patients Will be discussed at time of interview
