Job Description

Job Summary Our boutique optometry practice in Plano, TX is looking for an enthusiastic, service oriented and detail-oriented individual to join our practice as a Front Desk Associate and Optician. Our office is a full scope optometric practice and offer premium services such as myopia management and dry eye services. We pride ourselves in offering high quality eye care and eyewear to our patients. We're excited to meet someone who loves unique, beautifully designed eyewear and enjoys helping people find frames that really fit their personality and style. If you have an eye for design and enjoy working one-on-one with patients, then we'd love to have you. Responsibilities Provide support at the front desk, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, verifying and understanding insurance benefits, checking-in and checking-out patients, completing end-of-day duties and managing patient inquiries. Helping patients find the perfect eyewear. Know how to dispense, adjust, and troubleshoot frames and lenses. Keeping the optical area clean and organized. Using a manual lensometer and know how to accurately neutralize lenses. Taking and documenting optical measurements. Skills Experience in an optometric or optical setting is a plus, but not required. We will train the right individual! This part time position has an opportunity to lead to full time. Familiarity with basic math concepts to assist in sales and reports. Familiarity with computer programs such as Microsoft and Google suite. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members. Strong work ethic, attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Outstanding customer service and ability to engage and build genuine connection with others.
