Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Optician/Sales Associate, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional eye care and personalized optical solutions to our diverse patient and customer base. This position combines technical expertise with sales acumen, ensuring patients receive accurate prescriptions, stylish eyewear, and outstanding service. You will be responsible for assisting with frame selection, conducting basic eye assessments, managing medical records, and supporting clinic operations—all while fostering a welcoming environment that promotes health and well-being. This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in both healthcare and retail settings. Responsibilities Assist patients and customers in selecting eyewear that fits their style, needs, and prescription requirements, utilizing retail sales techniques to enhance the customer experience Prepare and verify medical records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Support optometrists by understanding basic medical terminology, anatomy of the eye, and laboratory procedures related to vision care Manage optical inventory including frames, lenses, and supplies; perform retail math to maintain stock levels and pricing accuracy Assist with laboratory tasks such as lens fitting, measurements for custom prescriptions, and other techniques to ensure quality standards are met Educate patients on proper eyewear care, medical billing procedures, and the importance of regular eye exams for pediatrics and senior care populations
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
