Responsibilities Assist patients in choosing eyewear by providing expert advice on frames, lenses, and lens coatings based on individual needs and preferences. Take precise measurements for eyewear fitting, including pupillary distance and frame adjustments, ensuring optimal comfort and vision correction. Maintain detailed medical records, including vital signs, medical history, and relevant ophthalmology information, following HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Support laboratory tasks such as lens edging, mounting, and quality control to ensure high standards of optical products. Collaborate with healthcare providers to understand patient needs related to pediatrics, senior care, or specialty areas like ophthalmology or physiology. Manage retail sales efficiently by applying retail math skills and providing excellent customer service to enhance patient satisfaction and store performance. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or other EMR platforms to document patient interactions accurately and streamline clinic workflows. Qualifications Proven experience in optical settings or retail sales with a strong understanding of optical products and retail management principles. Knowledge of ophthalmology practices, anatomy, physiology, medical coding, and medical terminology related to eye care. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Crystal or similar platforms used in clinics for managing medical records efficiently. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to pediatric patients or senior care clients. Basic understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times.

Pay:

$25.06 - $30.00 per hour
