Job Description

We are seeking a skilled, organized, and service-oriented optician to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern private office that prioritizes personalized care and professional growth. As our optician, you will assist patients in selecting and fitting eyewear, managing orders, handling vision insurance, and supporting the doctor with pre-testing.

Key Responsibilities:
Provides excellent customer service in all areas of communication to clients, team members, vendors, labs, physicians, by promoting a positive, welcoming, and professional atmosphere. Perform precise measurements, fittings, and adjustments to ensure superior comfort and vision quality. Assists patients in selecting frames, lens type, and lens treatments including tints and coatings, specific to each client. Keeps current on company/industry products and procedures, manufacturer rebates, and types of lenses and frames available. Takes and returns patient calls, updating patients on the status of their order and resolving order issues should they arise. Escalates any issues with the leadership team, as necessary. Dispenses glasses by inspecting the product, checking for proper fit, and patient comfort. Using various tools, performs eyewear adjustments and repairs. Is highly organized with strong attention to detail. Manages all areas of inventory and provides reporting for frame accountability. Receives customer payments, is experienced with insurance, credit card machines, calculating discounts, rebates and ensuring money received balances each day. Proficient in using tools such as pupilometers, PD Sticks, lensometers, pliers, wrenches, frame warmers, etc. Cleans and organizes frame boards, displays, mirrors, work area, maintaining overall cleanliness and visual appeal of the store. Maintain accurate records in electronic system (Compulink) Manage front desk tasks including calls, emails, scheduling, and insurance verification. Performs other duties as needed and as assigned by leadership team.
