Optician/Eyewear Specialist Opportunity
RIDGEFIELD, WA
Very exciting opportunity for a highly motivated OPTICIAN/Eyewear Specialist at SEEN Modern Eyecare + Eyewear, NOOPTICIAN EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
Experience in sales, restaurant waiter/waitress, optician and/or a strong fashion sense makes for a strong candidate. The Optician is responsible for delivering an exceptional patient experience as the leader in our boutique optical (glasses) department. This person will have a great impact on the business and customer experience - as such, we are looking for someone who is: Patient Care Focused, Results Driven, Team Oriented, and possesses an Outgoing Personality, who will deliver the quality of care we take pride in at SEEN Modern Eyecare + Eyewear. Position Summary Working together to anticipate patient needs and be able to effectively meet those needs with the appropriate lens and frame solutions. Educating each patient on the technologies and innovations available in eyeglass frames, lenses, and sun wear, and their benefits in providing the optimal visual experience and preventative care. Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear, and execute these details with flawless accuracy. Help with organizing and maintaining/managing a perpetual inventory of around 400+ frames, cases, and other spectacle accessories. Using our electronic practice management system to enter orders for eyeglass frames and lenses with accuracy and creating patient invoices for sales. Manually adjusting the fit of eyeglass frames to one's face to optimize comfort and visual performance. Troubleshooting patients concerns with the fit and performance of their eyewear to ensure patient satisfaction. Scheduling appointments and answering office phones when necessary. Cross training is an important part of this position. Accurately analyzing and understanding patient vision benefits coverage to calculate out-of-pocket costs and discussing those costs with the patient. Meeting with representatives from frame manufacturers and selecting new inventory. Ensure proper care and maintenance of all optometric equipment. Maintain merchandise displays in a clean and attractive fashion. Comply with lens and price changes promptly and accurately. Protect all Company assets, including inventory, cash, credit card drafts, bank deposits, and equipment. Follow proper procedures when accepting checks and credit cards. Goal and solution oriented and able to self-manage complex tasks. Flexible and composed in a fast paced and ever-changing environment. Implementation and leadership of managed care coverage and medical insurance claims processing. Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures. Training will be provided for the right candidate with no previous experience Required Qualifications Developed communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong critical thinking skills. Strong multi-tasking skills. A friendly and energetic personality with a customer service focus. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and address complaints in a timely manner. Exceptional organizational skills Availability to work flexible shifts. Preferred Qualifications Related work experience ABO Certification a plus Fashion oriented Education High School Graduate or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Compensation- Full Time or Part Time
