Job Description

About The Position Clarity Eyecare is a new private practice opening in Brookfield looking for an experienced optician who is personable, reliable, and finds joy in helping patients look, feel, and see their best. You will be responsible for selling, fitting, and dispensing glasses, as well as basic front desk duties like answering phones, scheduling patients and verifying insurance. We provide extensive training on all frames, lenses, and contact lenses we sell so you can feel confident providing patients a tailored experience. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, has exceptional communication skills, is a proficient multi-tasker, and is excited about helping our practice grow and flourish. Despite the practice being new, our doctor has been seeing patients for 10 years and is ready to leave the corporate world of optometry to provide higher quality patient care and a more personable experience. We've spent significant time and energy earning patient's trust by emphasizing patient education and the ideal candidate will value that as well. Responsibilities Educate patients regarding our products and services Understand patient's needs to help facilitate premium frames and lens sales Actively assist in patient frame selection by using knowledge of our products Fit, adjust, and dispense glasses while troubleshooting potential issues Provide patients with a comprehensive explanation of their medical or vision benefits Answer phones and texts to schedule patients and answer any questions Desire to learn and adapt to the needs of a growing optometry practice Maintain an upbeat and professional atmosphere in all patient interactions Utilize an EHR and other modern technology to provide accurate and efficient service Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Full-Time availability, including some half-day Saturdays Prior optical experience ABO Certified Optician or willingness to take exam within 1 year of start date Great interpersonal and customer service skills Familiarity with major vision plans (Eyemed, Spectera, VSP, Davis, Superior) Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain tidy spaces Compensation and Benefits $18 - 25/hr + Incentives Paid Time Off 401(k) Health Insurance Reimbursement Annual free eye exam and pair of glasses

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
