Job Description

Overview Join our healthcare team as an Experienced Optician, where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and optical services. In this vital role, you will assist patients in selecting the perfect eyewear, perform detailed measurements, and ensure seamless operations within our optical practice. Your knowledge of optometry, medical terminology, and retail sales will drive exceptional customer experiences while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical skills with compassionate service in an environment dedicated to improving vision and quality of life. Duties Assist patients in selecting eyewear that fits their prescription, lifestyle, and personal style, ensuring optimal comfort and vision correction Conduct precise measurements of pupillary distance, frame fitting, and lens prescriptions. Dispensing of completed product. Educate patients on lens options, frame styles, and proper eyewear care while promoting retail sales of glasses, contact lenses, and accessories Support clinic operations by scheduling appointments, verifying insurances, and communicating with patients. Verify patient information and update medical records accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as Epic or similar platforms Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information during all interactions and documentation processes. Experience Proven experience working as an optician in a clinical or retail setting with a strong understanding of optical products and optometric operations. Familiarity with ophthalmic procedures, medical terminology, and medical coding related to eye care services Knowledge of EMR systems used for medical records management. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
